Christmas is an annual festival that celebrated on December 25 commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. It is believed that Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph in a manger around two thousand years ago. According to scriptures, Jesus was identified as a form of Sun, who used to descend upon earth to eliminate darkness.
Some scriptures also state that December 25 falls exactly nine months after the announcement by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus, God’s incarnation on earth. The Christmas Story shows how Jesus’ birth came about in the exact manner as God foretold.
The Christmas Story, when understood from a truly biblical perspective, is the first step in creating immovable trust for Jesus as the perfect representation of God, the perfect representation of man filled with God and ultimately the perfect sacrifice for our sin.
So usually, at the decorations, we see these green things they call holy Mistletoes, different terms were used to decorate the homes, etc. This is the tradition from early pagan beliefs in these various plants, either as gods or close to gods, or as having certain miraculous or supernatural powers.
