Jesus Christ Miracles including his birth and resurrection. Below is a partial list of miracles that Jesus performed during his ministry, as recorded in the New Testament of the Bible.

46 Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. 47 When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death.

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.

In the Bible’s New Testament, Jesus is the Messiah (the Christ) who was promised by the Bible’s Old Testament prophets. Jesus is fully God and fully human. God allowed himself to be born as a person, to live among people and to teach people about God’s plan of salvation and to die for our sins. Because Jesus also is human, he can be called the Son of God and the Son of Man. Jesus was born to a woman named Mary about 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem, Israel. Mary was a virgin when she became pregnant with Jesus. The miracle of the virgin birth of Jesus is recorded in the New Testament books of Matthew and Luke.

In the New Testament, three words refer to miracles:

Power, which means “mighty deed;”

Sign, which refers to a miracle that figuratively represents something else, such as the kingdom of God;

Wonder, which indicates something extraordinary.
